Batman bailed over ‘assault’

I wonder if he is suffering from the curse that beset his predecessors who portrayed the Caped Crusader, namely, the villains being the star of the film. The attention that Heath Ledger’s performance is garnering is obviously all the more heighten due to the star’s tragic death.
All of the previous Batman’s were overshadowed by their co-stars, even when the films became ridiculously camp towards the end with George Clooney and Val Kilmer.
Has all the talk of Health Ledger’s Joker getting a posthumous Oscar become too much for Christian?
Batman star Christian Bale has been bailed by police after being questioned about allegations he assaulted his mother and sister.
The star, 34, was arrested and held for more than four hours after attending a London police station by appointment.
Mr Bale is alleged to have lashed out at his mother and sister in his suite at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Sunday.
The actor, who denies the allegation, has been released on bail until September pending further inquiries.
The Welsh-born actor is in the UK to promote the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight.
