One of the very first and first genre films Dorff did was the horror film THE GATE (1987), a Lovecraftian film disguised as a satanic movie. (The movie is a good film, in my opinion.)
In that film, Dorff is a pudgy 14-year old boy. To then see him again at 25 in BLADE (1998), as a very attractive, well-built man was something of a shock.
When I re-watched THE GATE after see BLADE, it was both fascinating intellectually and sexually very creepy to know that young teenager would grown up to be such a hunk.

While I agree that the second film was not as good as the first, the criticism of the detailing of the relationship is unfair as it is made clear throughout that Salander has difficulty in connecting on an emotional level due to her past. This was portrayed in the first film in her leaving the bed after sex with Blomkvist; and in the second fim she is ‘lectured’ on the fact that she doesn’t know of her former guardian’s (the nice one) state of health because she hasn’t checked in for a year. In this film she is shown consciously trying to make up for the lack of connection by reconnecting with her friend who assumes that if she is letting her live in her apartment it must be because she wants sex in return. The ‘chemistry’ seen in the first film is purely from the journalist – Salander has not connected and it’s no surprise that she hasn’t seen him for a year, she hasn’t bothered to keep up with anyone. This is one of the central aspects of the character and not a flaw in the interpretation by the director.

i made it 32 minutes into the movie… after that i was just bored and didn’t care what was happening to these characters (there wasn’t any satisfaction in seeing them die because the kills sucked) and just stopped the movie.

It does go back to the style used on the original trilogy with Neve Campbell at the front of the characters. With Ghostface in the background instead of the high profile actress/victim does this mean he/she will be the one killed off instead..?

I’m sure they’ll be more posters out nearer the time of Scream 4′s release.

I loved all three movies… yes, the three of them, so i’m waiting for this one with a lot of hopes.
The trailer so far makes it look awesome and doesn’t seem to use nostalgia too much… anyway, i know Wes is a really good writer, so this is going to be good.

The Last Airbender has had bad reviews from just about everyone so I think that’ll be one for when it appears on the movie channels.

A Nightmare on Elm wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Some parts were actually very, very good and I loved the new take on Freddy’s background story and his connection with the children of Elm Street.

Clash of the Titans too was okay. We saw it as a normal 2D screening as I’d heard the 3D made it worse. Here’s hoping the planned sequel is better handled.

As for Predators, the trailer does look really good and yes Topher Grace, despite the homicidal nature of his character, is cute (perhaps he’d rape and then kill – or kill and then rape?).

The Children of Earth was just fantastic and in some regards was surpassing Doctor Who at the time.

Seriously, Everything from that movie looks amazing. I really hope they won’t disappoint us. Because most of the time this year when i have likes a trailer and wanted to see a movie it turned out to be shit (A Nightmare on Elm Street (Though when i saw Michael Bay’s name in the trailer i started to have my doubts lol), Clash of the Titans, The Last Airbender (haven’t seen but man the reviews and the fans of the show are tearing that s*** to pieces.) So i’m excited, but afraid about this one. And also i gotta say, Topher Grace got cute XD

I would have to agree with you Matt regarding the quantity over quality that plagues U.S. television. However the U.S. are producing excellent short run TV series; True Blood and Dexter spring to mind. Both have a 12 episode run and the writing, acting and the production are absolutely brilliant.
