GSFN Show 22: Iron Man

Skip and Drew celebrate 16 years of ‘knowing’ each other with show 22. And what a way to relaunch the podcast, by downing Absinthe and testing out GarageBand on Skip’s new MacBook Pro. This show is all about Iron Man which Skip and Drew review for your pleasure, after seeing it on the opening night, at that fine cinematic experience by the sea establishment, The Apollo Paignton.

Find out what we think about Robert Downey Jr as he dons the Iron Man suit, battling his company, alcohol and the shadowy terrorist group know as the Ten Rings. Drew remarks on Cate Blanchett’s remarkable performance as Virginia ‘Pepper’ Potts and Art Malik’s role as ‘Yet another Arab Terrorist’ (YAAT).

This podcast was recorded under the influence of Absinthe and as such your hosts Skip and Drew cannot be held accountable for the inane banter that ensues.

  1. Dearest Devonshires

I laughed a lot over the Selma Hayak bit when she became Sell My Kayak. I love that review of the film and now I cannot wait to see it in Tokyo. It might still be on here.

Robert Downey Jr should be seen in The Wonder Boys, In bed naked with Tobey McGuire and clearly neither had any pants on and they were in no hurry to get out of bed and looked as if they had had a really long tussle in it. Great film wiith Michael Douglas.

Congratulations on your 16th. I am on my 19 with my J man

  2. Crikey Kieran,
You’ll have caught up with all the podcasts in no time. We’ve got a new one which will hopefully be online this weekend.

We’ll try and see if we can watch The Wonder Boys as Tobe and Rob naked in bed together sounds hot 😉
