GSFN Show 28: The Magic Closet

More music mayhem kick starts the Gay Sci-Fi Nerds Podcast Show as Skip and Drew bring you some sci-fi and fun news that’s caught their interest this past week.

Sssh! Keep the magic closet a secret!

GSFN News brings you Jason Statham on the stupid warning message tacked on front of his new film Death Race. The going battle between in orthodontics catches Ricky Gervais in American v British Teeth. Michael Moore’s Slacker Uprising film is the first full featured film available to download for free (in the USA only – though Skip and Drew recommend those outside the US to look at Hotspot Shield). Bono and The Edge work their musical magic for Spider-Man the Musical. In local creamy Devoniashire news, Monty Python’s Life of Brian in Torbay finally reaches the big screen after 28 years of being banned. Resurrected Hammer Films finds new life with its first film. New Megatron design for Transformer’s: Revenge of the Fallen leaked onto the internet. George Michael arrested… again and finally, new series of Heroes, Fringe and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles start in the UK.

Skip and Drew also review the new BBC series Merlin. Seems like Colin Morgan (Merlin), Bradley James (Prince Arthur Pendragon) and Anthony Head (yes please – ahem… Uther Pendragon) are catching not only the interest of your hosts but also a lot of people out there as they lust over the main male leads and ponder their sexuality.

Finally Skip and Drew are saddened to hear about the death of Paul Newman, a beautiful man and wonderful actor.

  1. Howdy, Boys! LOVE your podcast! Been listening for a short while and am working my way back through some of the older shows. It’s not often I find guys who can give me a throbber AND make me laugh out loud at the same time! Keep up the great work! I’m looking forward to more, more, MORE!!

  2. Hey Montana Joe,
Thanks for the great comment. We’re glad you enjoy the podcast and we fully intend to continue giving your a throbber as well as making you laugh.

  3. Hi Jack,
Thanks for letting us know about the mention on the Big Gay Sex Show. We love those guys and we love the fact they’re supporting us. Not sure if we’ll be sending them any cock shots, but they’re now in our list of links 🙂

  4. Dear Duchesses of Devon or Debos

I heard the clip on TBGSH and loved the bit about the stiffy. Then I downloaded a prodcast where you were going on about cockoplos and I lost it on the train in Tokyo. I laughed my fucking head off. Brilliant. Now I want to check out the films you talk about as my gaydar must have been off during some of them. Love the podcast and its so great to hear British humour as I am British but live in Japan where all I meet is Americans. Matt and Weegie are really funny too and I love the seriousness with which they discuss each really wacky phone in and sex act and the porno. But today I heard you two doing a ‘reading’ of Merlin and I was wetting myself on a train full of J’s.

    Great stuff.

  5. Hi Kieran,
It’s great to hear from a fan of the show all the way from Japan. I love the fact that we can give someone something to laugh about across the other side of the world.

Obviously we try to do the nerdy sci-fi stuff, but we’re not hardcore. We’re fans of the genre who happen to be gay and also like having a bit of fun and a laugh talking about anything that interests us and hopefully listeners of the podcast.

Hope we can keep you laughing your head off!
