A new line of Star Trek themed Barbie Dolls is set for release in anticipation of J.J. Abrams’ new film version of the Sci-Fi series.
The dolls – created by Mattel – are modelled on the characters Captain Kirk, Spock and Lieutenant Uhura, who appear in both the television series and the forthcoming film.

Mattel’s original Star Trek Barbies released in 1996 for the show’s 30th anniversary, saw Ken and Barbie dressed up in their best Sci-Fi finery.
These updated models have been created to resemble the new cast.
The figurines will hit shelves in April ahead of the film’s release on May 8.
