SCI FI Wire have the new trailer, titled “Philosophical,” for SCI FI Channel’s upcoming Stargate Universe. Stargate Universe is a spinoff of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis and follows the adventures of explorers who start off on a reconnaissance mission to the Destiny, a ship built by the Ancients, only to wind up on a never-ending mission when the crew learns the ship can’t return to Earth.
It debuts later this year on SCI FI.
Richard Dean Anderson set to reprise his role as Jack O'Neil in SG Universe
“Rick is doing episodes of Universe,” series co-creator Brad Wright told GateWorld exclusively today. “He was just here yesterday shooting an episode of Universe with us. So that relationship is always on-going, and it’s good to have him back.”
The site also reports that Gary Jones – Chief Master Sergeant Harriman – has told a convention audience that he’ll be guesting alongside Anderson in an episode too.
Stargate Universe – the Stargate show-on-a-ship – stars Robert Carlyle as Dr Nicholas Rush, and is due to start airing in October.
